This disclaimer applies to all content on affordac.org, including our service pages, frequently asked questions, and HVAC guides. By using this website, you agree to the terms below.
General information only
All content on this website is provided for general informational and educational purposes only. It is not professional advice for your specific equipment, building, or situation. Every system is different, and conditions we cannot see — such as the age, model, installation, and condition of your equipment — can change what is safe or appropriate. Reading this website, or contacting us through it, does not create a customer, contractor, or professional relationship with Affordable AC & Refrigeration Services LLC. A service relationship begins only when we agree to perform specific work for you.
Safety and do-it-yourself work
Heating, air conditioning, refrigeration, gas, and electrical equipment can cause serious injury, death, fire, carbon monoxide exposure, flooding, or other property damage if handled improperly. If you choose to perform any check or maintenance step described on this website, you do so entirely at your own risk and are solely responsible for your safety and for any damage to people or property. Always:
- Follow your equipment manufacturer’s instructions and all safety warnings.
- Turn off power at the switch and breaker before touching any equipment, and never remove panels that expose electrical parts, burners, or moving parts.
- Leave any work involving gas lines, electrical wiring, refrigerant, sealed components, combustion, or venting to a qualified, licensed professional.
- Stop immediately and contact a professional if you are unsure, uncomfortable, or notice anything unusual.
If you smell gas, leave the building immediately and call your gas utility or 911 from outside. If a carbon monoxide alarm sounds, get everyone into fresh air and call 911. Do not operate any equipment in either situation.
Estimates and rules of thumb
Any sizing figures, temperature or pressure ranges, maintenance intervals, or other numbers on this website are general guidelines only. They are not a substitute for an on-site evaluation, a load calculation, your equipment manufacturer’s specifications, or applicable codes.
No warranties
We try to keep this website accurate and up to date, but its content may be incomplete, contain errors, or become outdated. All content is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, completeness, fitness for a particular purpose, or merchantability.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Affordable AC & Refrigeration Services LLC and its owners, employees, agents, and contractors will not be liable for any injury, death, loss, or damage to persons or property, or for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or other damages, arising out of or related to the use of, or reliance on, any information on this website, or any action taken or not taken based on it. Your sole remedy for dissatisfaction with this website is to stop using it.
Reviews, photos, and third-party links
Customer reviews reflect the individual experiences of those customers and are not a guarantee of any particular result. Photos show examples of past work. Links to other websites are provided for convenience only; we do not control and are not responsible for their content.
Services, pricing, and availability
Descriptions of our services are general. Scope, pricing, scheduling, and availability — including emergency service and service-area coverage — are confirmed only when you contact us and we agree to specific work. Any work we perform is governed by the agreement or estimate for that job, not by this website.
